Hello! I am on a roll lately with getting out blog posts! Another new years resolution I’ve stuck to! I have had quite a lot of requests for a review on the * I have been so pleasantly surprised by the quality of Sigma Shadows! I really love this little palette! Keep reading for swatches and a full review! unfortunately as I type this palette is out of stock on the Sigma website (today is the 30th of Jan) I will keep checking and update! I did find it available on the Which ships internationally, or just go on the and add your email so you can be notified when it’s in stock!
BACK TO MY REVIEW! This little palette comes with 12 shadows working out to be around $3.25 a shadow. I love these shadows, all of the swatches you will see were done with a brush and as you know a brush delivers less pigment than a finger swatch. You can see how smooth and pigmented the shadows are just from the swatches
If you have been reading my blog for a while or following me on you will know my favourite shadows are Tarte Shadows! I would rate Sigma eyeshadows as highly as Tarte shadows. I just can’t fault them. All of the shades are smooth and blendable. None are powdery or dry and they are all creamy. “Warm Stone” the bottom right shade (dark matte brown with gold glitter) Is a favourite. The glitter is fine and not chunky and its sparse enough that you can pack this shade onto the lid for a dark Matte Brown with subtle flickers of gold glitter or you can use it blended in the crease with barely any glitter visible. This palette also includes one Duo Chrome shade, the very first shade “Oyster Sand” It the perfect opal shade with hints of pearl, pink, purple and blue! SWATCHES TOP ROW LEFT – RIGHT Oyster Sand, Sugar Milk, Mild Mannered and Dove Oyster Sand is so pretty but very hard to photograph. The shade Sugar milk is a matte beige and perfect to put down all over your lid as a base. Mild Mannered looms like a taupe brown shimmer in the pan but on me (medium skin tone) it’s a Taupe Rose gold shimmer. Dove again looks like a dark grey brown shimmer but on me it goes a Taupe Cranberry Shimmery Shade. SECOND ROW LEFT TO RIGHT – Fawn, Cinnamon, Russet and Balanced The first shade “Fawn” is a Mushroom brown with a white gold frost. This shade would look beautiful layered over another shadow. It’s almost like an eyeshadow topper, I reminds me of the Urban Decay single eyeshadows. If you applied this wet it would take on an entirely different complete glitter look. Cinnamon is a Medium warm brown that also throws a little more Rosey on my skin, i love this shade! Russet is a deep burgundy purple shade. Its said to be a sheen but to me its more of a Matte/Satin shadow with smalls flecks of purple and silver glitter, really original and pretty. Balanced is a frosted golden peach shade. This one is quite foiled and just so beautiful. BOTTOM ROW LEFT TO RIGHT – Cozy, Innocent, Optimistic and Warm Stone Cozy is a Matte cool Medium brown with a lot of grey to it. Innocent is a light Matte Pinky Mauve, I love a shade like this. Optimistic is a frosted deep watermelon shade, this one is the least pigmented of the palette bit still a beautiful shade and formula. Lastly Warm Stone this shade as described above is a Dark Chocolate brown with fine gold glitter through it, perfect for the lid or in your crease! OVERALL I love this little palette. These shadows are paraben Free. I cant find any information about the Shadows being cruelty free but I know for a fact Sigma brushes are cruelty free but not all vegan. This palette is Made in China which doesn’t mean it’s tested on Animals, Brand are only DEFINATELY tested on Animals in China if they are to be sold there. With all of that being said I love this palette and I would definitely recommend it. Have your tried SIGMA BEAUTY? I have been a fan for YEARS! I bought my first brushes maybe 5-6 Years ago!
